Approved by the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB) for Training/Educating Toward Professional Substance Abuse Certification & Recertification in North Carolina*

The following courses have been approved by the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB) as ongoing training/ educational opportunities for “Substance Abuse Specific” (i.e., “SS”) training; each course credit hour equates to up to 15 training contact hours:

  • SAB 110: Substance Abuse Overview; instructor: Getty-Odom and/ or Lyons; 3 course credit hours/ up to 45 contact hours toward certification/ recertification training
  • SWK 220: Social Work Issues in Client Services; instructor: Getty-Odom and/ or Nooe; 3 course credit hours/ up to 45 contact hours toward certification/ recertification training

 

The following courses have been approved by the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB) as ongoing training/ educational opportunities for up to 15 hours (each) of “General Skill Building” (i.e., “GSB”) training:

  • DDT 110: Developmental Disabilities; instructor: Getty-Odom and/ or Lyons; 3 course credit hours/ up to 45 contact hours toward certification/ recertification training
  • HSE 110: Introduction to Human Services; instructor: Getty-Odom; 3 course credit hours/ up to 45 contact hours toward certification/ recertification training
