Financial Aid Overview

Bookstore Changes and Financial Aid:

The Bookstore at A-B Tech Community College is making improvements to better service students for the upcoming semester.

Students using financial aid will now be able to place online orders for their textbooks instead of having to come into the Bookstore on campus.

Online ordering will be available to all students starting Monday, December 2 until Saturday, December 14.  Online orders are for textbooks only and they can be picked up in the Bookstore.

Students using credit cards may pick up their books December 18-20 and then again beginning January 6.  Students using Financial Aid will be able to pick up their online orders starting January 7.

Other services will include:

  • More specialized check-out lines dedicated to decrease wait times.
  • For the first time, the Bookstore will be offering laptop computers for sale at a discounted rate.
  • A Financial Aid representative will be in the store to help with any financial aid questions/issues.

Financial Aid Appeal Committee Schedule for Spring Semester 2014

Finishing your diploma or degree on time just became more important than ever.  A new federal law shortens the length of time students will be eligible for Pell Grants from 18 semesters to 12, beginning with the 2012-13 school year.  This is retroactive so they will count previous years you were awarded Pell Grant money.  For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office at 398-7530.
