Degree Program:

The DME degree program prepares students for employment for enry-level jobs in the digital media field.

Check out the semester-by-semester DME curriculum for the current program year, but please be sure to meet with your BCT advisor about your catalog year... as courses may be slightly different from what is online.

Certificates:

Certificates are a great way to learn new skills and increase your employability without going through an entire degree program. The DME program currently offers two certificates.

Advising

Please be sure to see a Digital Media faculty member for advising. If you are a new student, please bring your PIE form (received during placement testing) when you meet with your advisor the first time. Due to sequencing of courses it is critical to meet regularly with your advisor in the BCT department to insure prereqs are met.

Online Courses

Taking an online course requires a student with motivation and access to the neccessary pc and software requirements. If you are new to taking courses online, you also may want to take an online orientation workshop, offered in the Balsam building at the beginning of the semester. This will help you get up to speed on how to use Moodle to navigate your online course. Please contact Kathie Doole at kathleenrdoole@abtech.edu for more information.

Only a few courses are offered online in the DME program. Typically you can find first and second semester courses online. Find out more about requirements for specific online courses in the BCT department.
