Zipline Guide Training

   

Zipline Guide Training is a growing component of the tourism industry.  In this class, you will learn skills to work as a zipline guide.  There will be instructional time in the classroom and on-site at French Broad Rafting and Ziplines.  Upon completion, students will be prepared to sit for the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) Level I Practitioner certification exam. 

Training Schedule:  Wednesday, Saturday, & Sunday, April 18 - 22, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Registration Fee:  $125    Technology Fee:  $5.00     Insurance Fee:  $1.40

Note:  Students must be 18 years of age or older to register.  No online registration is available.

Whitewater Rafting Guide Training

The class will focus on the fundamentals and skills needed to become a whitewater rafting guide.  Students will learn to read whitewater, use river signals, maneuver and rig rafts, tie knots, work with guests and other basic river operations. 

Training Schedule:  Saturday-Sunday, April 25 - May 17, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Registration Fee:  $250.00    Technology Fee:  $5.00     Insurance Fee:  $1.40

ITV – Interactive Video

ITV is now not only available on the A-B Tech Madison site, allowing students the opportunity to take classes on the Asheville campus from the Madison site, we now have several classes being hosted on the Madison Site and broadcast to other A-B Tech campuses! 

ITV provides students the opportunity to sit in the classroom at one location and watch the entire instructional component via real-time video from the host location.  ITV technology allows the student the opportunity to ask questions, etc., during the class.  Courses offered via ITV are less likely to be canceled!
