Dates & Deadlines
Dates listed are tentative and subject to change without notice.
December 6 (PRIORITY DEADLINE*) - Priority deadline for Pell Grant and State Grants is Saturday, December 6, 2014, 1:00 p.m.
December 17 (PRIORITY DEADLINE*) - Priority deadline for submitting all Direct Loan requirements for Spring 2015. All requirements must be received in the Financial Aid Office by no later than Wednesday, December 17, 2014, 7:00 p.m. in order to guarantee payment in time for the purge of schedules in January.
January 7 (A-L) January 8 (M-Z) - Students may begin charging in the college bookstore. Students must have their class schedule with them in order to make purchases in the college bookstore.
January 6 – Last date to pay for regular registration.
January 11 – Last day to drop classes for a full refund.
January 22 (Full Term Classes) - Last day to drop for a partial refund.
February 13 (Full Term Classes) - Last day for financial aid recipients to charge books and supplies at the college bookstore in the K. Ray Bailey Building. No returns will be allowed in the college bookstore without the original receipt.
March 11 - Anticipated date for financial aid refunds and first half of spring semester loan refunds to be disbursed by 5:00 p.m.
March 20 - Last date to complete all requirements for a Direct Loan (i.e. Master Promissory Note, Entrance Counseling, Direct Loan Accept/Decline form). The Direct Loan Accept/Decline form (located on the FA Forms page) must be received in the FA office by no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 20.
April 10 - Anticipated date for second half of spring semester loan refunds, and other financial aid refunds for 2nd 8-week minimesters and 3rd 4-week minimester.
April 24 - Anticipated date for 4th 4-week minimester financial aid refunds.
* Priority Deadlines mean that if all required documentation is received in the Financial Aid Office by Close of Business on those days (1:00 p.m. on December 6 and 7:00 p.m. on December 17), the student will be exempt from the purge of classes in January. If it is later discovered that the student still requires additional documentation in order to complete his/her file, the student must provide that information in a timely manner in order to receive his/her financial aid
If a student's financial aid eligibility has not been determined before the start of the semester, the student will need to be prepared to pay for tuition, fees, and books out of pocket or will need to set up a tuition payment plan. Once eligibility has been determined, the student will be reimbursed the amount of financial aid for which he/she is eligible minus any funds due to the College.
NEW FOR 2014-15: All Federal Direct Student Loans will be awarded in two disbursements PER SEMESTER.
