Back-to-Work Program


NC Back-to-Work program provides pre-employment training for entry-level technical jobs.

This is short-term training that leads to industry recognized or state-regulated credentials in the following areas:


  • Electronic Health Records:  offered (1/13/14 to 5/5/14)
  • Business of Beer- Part 1 Beerlogy & Part 2 Beeronomics:  offered (1/6/14 to 1/27) (1/28/14 to 2/11) & part 2 on (3/11/14 to 3/25)
  • Logistics Associate Certification (CLA):  offered (3/4/14 to 5/13/14)
  • CDL- Truck Driving Training:  earn in just 4 short weeks
  • IComp TIA- offered (3/4 to 5/15)


***In addition, Military Veterans and NC National Guard are eligible for training in the following areas: 


*Law Enforcement          

*Emergency Management         

*Fire Protection                


Grant Funds will be used to provide financial assistance to the following individuals:

  • Unemployment Insurance Claimants
  • Unemployed & Underemployed Adults
  • Military Veterans
  • Members of the NC National Guard


*Financial assistance is provided to participants in the form of vouchers to pay for tuition/ course registration fees, materials, and tools

*Participants who are near training completion will receive job placement support
