Computer Literacy for Latino Students

This series of three computer courses is for students whose first language is Spanish. The courses will be taught in English and Spanish. The first course, 'Introduccion a Computacion' will cover basic computer skills such as keyboarding and desktop applications. Students will also practice completing job applications in English. The second, 'Computacion II' covers basic word processing applications. Projects include developing a cover letter, a resume and a reference page, The third course in the series, 'Enlace de Negocios,' covers email basics, an introduction to the internet, and internet job searches. Computer Literacy for the Job Seeker

Students learn basic computer skills for job search at a relaxed pace. Topics will include internet job search, completing job applications online and increasing the student's comfort level with the computer. No prior computer experience is necessary. Hospitality Career Opportunities

This course will provide an overview of several hospitality and service industry jobs. The curriculum is designed to assess the interest, attitude, aptitude and readiness for employment in the hospitality industry. Keyboarding, Attain Skills
