High schools can help students explore educational opportunities that lead to great careers. Contact the Recruitment Department at 828-398-7484 to talk to a recruiter. Recruiters are available throughout the school year to present to students and arrange visits.
While students are still enrolled in high school, their main source for career planning should be their school counselor or career development coordinator. However, after a student is accepted to A-B Tech Community College after high school graduation, the college’s Career Counseling Center can help him or her identify interests, abilities, values, skills, personality type, and other factors to assist in making informed career choices. Additional services include job-search strategies, cover letter and resume writing, and interview preparation. The Career Center also houses a variety of books, DVD's, and other relevant materials.
A-B Tech’s Career Center is located in the Bailey Student Services Building on the college’s main campus in Asheville. High school graduates who have applied to the college and completed our New Student Orientation may schedule career appointments by going to http://www.abtech.edu/apply
