Activities:

Come join us for our ‘open house’ GIS Day event to see demonstrations of how the everyday use of GIS affects our lives. Presentations include the new online Buncombe County Slope Mapper application, the City of Asheville mapAsheville and Development Mapper, Google Earth, ArcGIS Explorer, a GeoDome and other geographic visualization tools, RENCI outreach disaster response van, NC OneMap and much much more. We’ll also have plenty of computer stations set up for visitors to explore our world using the latest in GIS and GPS technologies. Come early to browse the map gallery and get some hands on GPS with a Geocache right here on our campus.

The event is scheduled from 9am - 2pm on Friday, November 9th. Drop in and out at your leisure or come spend the entire day with us.
