Eva Scruggs is a native of western North Carolina. She taught in Tennessee's public school system for two years before returning to N.C.  Eva is a painter, printmaker and classical sculptor. She runs a small scale sculpture operation out of her studio in Asheville's River District. She is also a beekeeper, an organic farmer, and a mom.

Before coming to A-B Tech, Leigh taught courses at Blue Ridge Community College, Western Carolina University, and Southwestern Community College.  Her work has been exhibited in several local galleries, including The Sky People Gallery, The Warren Wilson College Store and Gallery, The New Gallery, and Semi Public.
