Pat Downey, Alum and Employee, Fighting Cancer April 30th 2019 Pat Downey, the Writing Center’s part-time limited administrative assistant, was recently diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. Pat will begin undergoing chemotherapy shortly after the conclusion of the spring semester. However, even with treatment, her illness is likely to be terminal.
