Access Your Student Email Account
Free student e-mail
An e-mail account is provided for you free of charge by A-B Tech and Google. The account is already created* but you need to log in to the account to activate it. There is a link to the e-mail start page below.
Once you complete an online payment a confirmation message will be sent to your A-B Tech e-mail account.
E-mail login information
The user ID for e-mail is the same as the user ID for your online payment account: generally first name, middle initial, last name all in lower case. No spaces, hyphens, apostrophes, or suffixes are used.
Your e-mail password is your student ID using all seven digits. Be sure to include any leading zeroes. You can find your student ID printed on your registration form under your name.
Your e-mail address is userID@students.abtech.edu.
Activate your e-mail account
When you log into your e-mail account for the first time you will see a graphic image of a group of letters. Type the letters you see in the box below them and then scroll down the screen until you see the Google Terms of Service. Once you have read the terms, click the button labeled "I accept. Create my account." and your e-mail account will be activated.
Change your e-mail password
A-B Tech recommends that you change your e-mail password after your first login. You may use the same password you use for your online payment account if you wish.Here's how to change your password:
- Click Settings at the top of the e-mail screen.
- Open the Accounts tab after you click Settings.
- Click Change Password.
- In the new window, enter your current password, enter your new password, and re-enter the new password to confirm it
- Click the "Change Password" at the bottom of the window to save your new password.
*Your student online account and email are created within 24 hours after your initial registration for Summer 2007 or any following term. Once you access and set up the accounts they will be available for use in following terms.
