Financial Aid Check List
- Apply for admission to A-B Tech online if you have not already done so.
- Apply for financial aid yearly by completing the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Note that A-B Tech's federal school code is 004033. Priority filing date is March 15th each year.
- Submit official transcripts from high schools, GEDs, colleges, and/or universities attended to the Service Desk in the Bailey Building.
- Complete placement tests administered by the College (SAT or ACT scores completed within the last three years may be used to replace placement testing). You may schedule a test at placementtesting.abtech.edu.
- Receive advising from an advisor to be placed in a curriculum program. You may contact the Service Desk at 254-1921 ext. 7520 for more information.
If additional information is required in addition to the steps listed above, the Financial Aid Office will contact you. Please note: Once the above steps are completed, processing of your FAFSA results may take up to an additional 8 weeks to complete. If no additional information is required, a notification will be sent to your A-B Tech student email account once your award letter is ready to be viewed in Web Advisor.
