Career and Major Counseling
Career Development Services focuses on providing services to current and potential students.
Career counseling involves speaking with one of our career counselors and possibly taking some career assessments to help you understand how different aspects about us such as interests, skills, values and personality style can impact a successful career choice.
Career counseling can assist you with:
- Deciding on a program of study at A-B Tech
- Deciding your major options once you transfer to a four-year university
- Establishing educational plans to achieve your career goals
- Determining career options when making a career change or a career transition
- Identifying which colleges offer areas of study you wish to pursue
- Confirming a career choice that you have already made
A-B Tech offers career counseling by appointment. For most career or major exploration appointments we suggest that you first email or call one of the numbers listed below between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. The career packet takes about an hour to complete and includes an interest and personality style assessment. These assessments generally provide insight into career choice and assist with career decision-making.
